Gateway News

You can not say that relocation projects of over 500 employees are especially rare, but one that includes no new furniture happens to be very rare.  The relocation of the FDIC Regional Office in downtown Dallas was such a project.                                       The plan?  Find out the furniture and equipment needs for each department, qualify and help select service providers in the areas of technology, furniture, and moving, create a move schedule that coincided with the construction and finish out of each of the new floors in Energy Plaza, and last but certainly not least, prepare all 535 FDIC employees to pack and move.                                            The first task that our Gateway RCS team accomplished was the inventory of 20 floors of furniture and equipment.  Using one of our custom QuickBase applicatations, we entered over 10,000 lines of inventory and then reallocated those items needed to furnish the new space with in the same application.
In addition, Gateway RCS enjoyed leading and working with a team of 40 internal Move Captains who's efforts were, as in any relocation project, instrumental in the overall success of the move.
With the move completed, our focus quickly turned back to the origin building as we began preparing for the return of the space back to the landlord.   A project in and of itself, Gateway RCS planned, coordinated, and managed the removal of all surplus FF&E and the clean up of all 320,000 square feet that followed!
